Providing Musical Instruments to Under-Served Central Florida Students
To provide musical instruments for students who want to enter a school’s instrumental music program, but whose parents do not have the means to provide an instrument for them.
To provide these instruments at no charge through directors of middle school instrumental music programs.
To seek out and collect used instruments, repair and refurbish them as needed and then make them available to middle school band directors. They will be used by those students who desire to participate in their school’s music groups, but cannot afford their own instrument.
To produce free benefit concerts with the help of volunteer bands and musicians. These events will introduce children to musical instruments through an “Instrument Petting Zoo” and raise donated funds and awareness of the need for more instruments in our local middle schools.
